All students are expected to adhere to these four fundamental expectations. These expectations form the cornerstone for how we do life together at Eastern Nazarene College. Most policies and procedures are expressions of these expectations.

  1. Every student is to honor themselves. Recognizing that the heart, mind, body, and spirit are designed by a loving God for good and noble purposes, each student is to treat themselves with care and invest in their whole-person formation.
  2. Every student is to honor the community around them. Surrounded by a diverse and dynamic community, each student is to treat others with respect, compassion, and dignity, lifting up the community through their actions and influence.
  3. Every student is to honor the College. Participating in the educational programs and environment offered by Eastern Nazarene College is a distinct privilege. Each student is to engage in the educational and co-educational programs with curiosity, responsibility, integrity, and authenticity. Additionally, each student is to honor College policies (as outlined in this document) and to treat faculty/staff and campus properties with respect.
  4. Every student is to honor their potential to lead and serve the world. Fundamental to the mission of Eastern Nazarene College is the notion that students are being prepared for positive influence in the world around them. Through current internships and future jobs, compassionate service to community members in need, and relationships outside of college, each student is to make substantive, God-honoring contributions in the world around them.
