Central to its educational mission and values, Eastern Nazarene College is dedicated to the notion of transformational education, meaning that the whole of the student is to be engaged, cultivated, and formed through ENC’s educational and co-educational programs. This commitment to transformational education is anchored in an understanding of God’s heart and plans for humanity, as understood and expressed by the Church of the Nazarene.

Through their decision to enroll at Eastern Nazarene College, students are voluntarily choosing to commit themselves to do life together in a unique, formative, and God-honoring way. Specifically, undergraduate students participating in educational programs at ENC, agree to submit to the Community Covenant and Expectations of the institution. Students who do not abide by the Community Covenant and Expectations may voluntarily depart or be involuntarily removed by the College.

The way we do life together at Eastern Nazarene College, as expressed in the Community Covenant and Expectations, reflects a compilation of best practices in educational policy, requirements of governmental ordinances and laws, and practices of Christian community. As a college of the Church of the Nazarene, the principles and policies described in the Community Covenant and Expectations are guided and enhanced by Nazarene doctrines, disciplines, and perspectives – namely, views on humanity, education, service, and society.
